Earl "Bud" DeYarman passed away Saturday, April 29, 1978, at the Veterans Hospital in Iowa City follwoing a lingering illness.
The son of Charles W. and Hazel (Gruver) DeYarman he was born May 25, 1911 at Winfield, Iowa.
He was married to Gladys Street on June 16, 1932 at Kahoka, Missouri.
He was a long time operator of the Henry county maintainer, served in WW II in the Army, was a 50 year member of the United Methodist Church and a member of the American Legion Post #643.
Survivors include his wife;two daughters, Mrs. R.M. "Dutch" (Twyla) Chaney, and Baja, both of Mt. Pleasant; one grandson; and one sister, Mrs. Mabel Beauchamp of Crawfordsville.
He was preceded by his parents.
Services were Tuesday May 2 at the Barton McKasson Funeral Home Winfield, at 2 P.M.. Rev. Charles Comfort, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Mt. Pleasant officiated.
Organist was Mrs. Keith Crawford; soloist, James Green. Casket bearers were Dennis Hill, Harry Huston, Harold Conard, Robert Logan, Virgil Johnson and James Honts.
Interment at Winfield Scott Township Cemetery. Winfield, Iowa. Military honor Guard by American Legion Post 643 and V.F.W. Post 5143
