Norma Stodgell

Norma Ruth "Leu" Stodgell, 72, died Saturday, April 28, 2007, at McKee Medical Center in Loveland, Colo.

Born Oct. 22, 1934, she was the daughter of Edison & Hazel (Johnston) Leu. On March 23, 1954, she married John M. Stodgell. He died in July 1983.

Mrs. Stodgell was a graduate of Fairfield High School and resided in New London for many years before moving to Loveland. She loved painting, dancing, cooking, music and traveling.

Survivors include two daughters, Robin Buffington and Jan Schott, both of Loveland; two sons, Michael Stodgell of Moran, Kan., and John Stodgell of Mount Pleasant; three sisters, Mary Jo Gerleman of Mount Pleasant, Virginia Cooper of Burlington and Connie Danner of Kettle Falls, Wash.; four brothers, Larry Leu of Pearl, Miss., Raymond Leu of Mount Pleasant, Ronald Leu of Overland Park, Kan., and Terry Leu of Gillette, Wyo.; 11 grandchildren and nine great–grandchildren.

Family and friends plan to gather in Iowa on June 23 where a memorial service is planned in the park with a barbecue to celebrate her life.
