Harold Harvey Honts, 70, of Winfield, died early Saturday morning, July 8, 1972, at the Henry County Memorial Hospital following a six week illness. Mr. Honts had been a patient at the hospital since June 5.
The son of Edward and Roxanna (Gideon) Honts , he was born June 15, 1902 at Winfield. All of his life was spent in Winfield.
He married Sadie Keegan at Evansville, Wisc. on January 31, 1924. She died on February 8, 1958.
Mr. Honts attended the Presbyterian Church.
He is survived by one daughter Mrs. (Doris) Conard and one son, James both of Winfield; one brother Charles of Independence and three grandchildren, Beth Conard, Mike Honts, and Michelle Honts all of Winfield.
Besides his wife he was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
Funeral services were Monday July 10 at 10:30 A.M. at the Barton McKasson Funeral Home in Winfield. The Rev. Charles Courtney officiated.
Mrs. Keith Crawford was organist; Z.J. Babcock , Wm, Hamilton, Robert Logan, Melvin Jennings, Ray Honts and Harold Conard, bearers.
Interment in the Winfield Scott Township Cemetery.
Barton McKasson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangemets.
