Fred Wasson

Fred Albert Wasson, 73-year-old farmer of 827 Harrison Ave., died in Burlington hospital at 4:30 a.m. Monday.

A resident of Burlington for 30 years, Mr. Wasson was born Dec. 30, 1893, in Des Moines County, the son of Robert and Ellen McNamee Wasson. He married Bernice Brown at Rock Island, Ill., June 4, 1916. Mr. Wasson was of the Lutheran faith.

Surviving: the wife; son, Wilfred Wasson and daughter Mrs. Dana(Edith)Erickson, both of Burlington; step-daughter, Mrs. Floyd(Florence)Brockway of Wever; nine grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren; brothers, Pearl and Dewey Wasson, both of Burlington; and sisters, Mrs. Minnie Thompson of Mt. Pleasant; Mrs. Daisy Reid of Long Beach, Calif., and Mrs. Nora Voris of West Burlington.

Services: Wednesday at 1:30 at the Prugh Chapel; the Rev. Luther R. Livingston; burial at Pleasant Grove.
