Winfield- Vera Marie Davis 93, of Winfield, died Tuesday March 30, 2004, at Sunrise Terrace Care Center in Winfield.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 2, at 10:30
A.M., at First Presbyterian Church in Winfield with the Rev. Elwin Colson officiating. Burial will be in Cambrrian Cemetery in rural Columbus Junction. Visitation will be from noon to 7 P.M. on Thursday at Honts Funeral Home in Winfield, with family present from 6 to 7 P.M. Memorials may be directed to winfield First Presbyterian Church.
Mrs. Davis was born on November 27, 1910 in rual Columbus Junction to Lou B. and Winifred (Gipple) Hall. On June 27, 1934, she married Glenn Davis in Columbus Junction.
Mrs. Davis was a graduate of Wyman High School. She was a 50 year member of Winfield First Presbyterian Church and church circle, and was a former member of the Smoley Hall Club. She was a home maker and a farm wife. She enjoyed the outdoors.
Mrs. Davis is survived by one son Ronnie Davis of Winfield; one daughter Karen Cawiezell of Eldridge; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and two sisters. Betty Bitting of Crawfordsville and Wanda Graber of Wayland.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Glenn in 1994; one daughter Shirley rossiter two brothers and one sister.
