Doris M. Conard, age 63, died Sunday, February 5, 1989 at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City. The daughter of Harold and Sarah (Keegan) Honts, she was born June 8, 1925 at Janesville, Wisconsin; On June 17, 1944 she married Orval (Shorty) Conard at Winfield. She was a graduate of the Winfield High School, class of 1943, and was of the Presbyterian faith. She worked for Johnson Chevrolet in Winfield for many years and has been employed at the Peoples State Bank in Winfield for over 20 years.
She is survived by her husband, Winfield; one daughtrer, Beth Ann Conard, Cedar Rapids; she was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, James H. Honts.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, February 7, 1989 at 2:00 P.M. from the Winfield Presbyterian Church, with Rev. James Edwards officiating. Music was by Mary Crawford organist, and Mary Kilpatrick, pianist. Casket Bearers; Mick Garris, Dale Johnson, Cecil Linder, Bob Logan, Don Westercamp, Monte Geddes. Interment was in the Winfield-Scott Township Cemetery. Honts Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. A memorial has been established.
