Fred Honts Passes Away.
Fred Honts 59, passed away Monday evening, January 11, at the Mercy Hospital at Burlington where he had been a patient with a heart condition and complications five weeks.
Fred Basil Honts is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Ruth Cockayne of Davenport and a son Lee Honts of Burlington. Two brothers Harold of Winfield and Charles of Independence, and six grandchildren.
He was pre-deceased by his parents and a brother Hoyt. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon, January 13, at 2:00 o'clock at the Berton McKasson funeral home here with the Rev. Eugene Williams officiating. Burial was in Winfield Scott township cemetery. Pall bearers were Lester Davis, Earl Tesdalhl, W.J. Grimmer, Roy Fread, Howard Greene and Fredrick Schmidt.
