Roxanne Honts Passes Away
Mrs. Roxanna Honts, 81 widow of Edward Honts of Winfield, died December 24,1959 at the DeVol Nursing Hone at Mt. Pleasant, after and extended illness.
Funeral services were conducted Sunday afternoon at the Barton McKasson Funeral Home with Rev. Eugene Wilhams pastor of the Open Bible Church in charge. Burial was in Winfield Scott Township Cemetery.
Bearers were Don Franklin, Lloyd Widmer, Warren Wilkerson, Alva McCaw, Roy Fread, and Fred North. Mrs. Keith Crawford was organist and Larry Youngman solist.
Mrs. Honts was born Roxanna Gideon, April 18,1878 at Lenoir City, Tenn., the daughter of James and Mary Byerly Gideon. She was married to Edward Honts of Winfield August 27,1896.
She had been a member of the Winfield Presbyterian Chuch since Septermber 14,1896.
Surviving are three sons, Fred and Harold of Winfield and Charles of Independence, four grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son Hoyt who died as an infant.
