DEATH OF WINFIELD GIRL
Miss Lois Hamilton Passes Away After Few Months Illness, Funeral Sunday.
Winfield, Iowa, Dec. 1 (Special)
Miss Lois Hamilton died at her home in this city at five o'clock this evening. She had been sick since the first of July, suffering with quick consumption, from which several other members of the family have died. She was twenty years of age and a young lady respected and loved by all. For a number of terms she was a student in the Mt. Pleasant Acacemy and had frequently visited in Mt. Pleasant. Her parents and three brothers have the sympathy of all in their bereavement. The funeral will be held Sunday afternoon. My additions: Father and Mother: Robert Martin Hamilton and Marie Elizabeth Whitaker. Lois was born 5-15-1885 and died 12-1-1905. Survived by brothers: George, William, Harry and Harry. Sisters: Mary E., Dora, Lucy, Eliza, Myrtle. My grandmother was Lucy Hamilton Helphrey. The story is that the girls went to work in a home one summer and contracted consumption and died.
