Esther Warth

Esther Victoria Warth, 89, of Burlington, died at 7:05 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 3, 2000, at Great River Medical Center in West Burlington.

Born March 3, 1911, in Kossuth, she was the daughter of Charles Henry and Eva Marie Anderson Timmerman. She married Ambrose Wykert Warth on Oct. 12, 1928, in Burlington. He died Dec. 28, 1978.

Mrs. Warth worked in production at Willow Ware Co. and also provided home care.

She loved flowers, gardening and fishing.

Survivors include one daughter, Doris M. Johnson of Drakesville; one son, Emil H. Warth of Danville; eight grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Carol Cluney of Danville and Wilma Stafford of Burlington; and one brother, Ernest Art Timmerman of Burlington.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, one son, two grandchildren, two brothers and four sisters.

Visitation will begin at 8 a.m. Tuesday in Lunning Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m.

The funeral for Mrs. Warth will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in Lunning Chapel, with the Rev. David Mixon officiating. Burial will be in Burlington Memorial Cemetery.

A memorial has been established for the Diabetes Association.
