Beryl Kramer
Beryl W. Kramer, 90, of Pleasant Manor Care Center in Mount Pleasant, died Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2003, at Henry County Health Center in Mount Pleasant.
Born Feb. 5, 1912, in Wyman, he was the son of William J. and Winifred Pearl Gruver Kramer. On Dec. 7, 1941, he married Lois Ross in Kahoka, Mo.
Mr. Kramer farmed in earlier years in the Winfield and New London communities. He worked for Selby Processing Plant, Central Soya and McKesson-Robbins, all of Burlington.
He was a 1930 graduate of Olds High School. He retired to Sun Lakes, Ariz., living there from 1980 to 1996. He was of the Presbyterian faith.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Vicky Padgett of Davenport and Kathy Villhauer of Iowa City; one son, Dan Kramer of Moorpark, Calif.; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.
Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to noon Monday at Honts Funeral Home in Winfield.
There will be no family visitation.
The graveside service for Mr. Kramer will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Winfield-Scott Township Cemetery, with the Rev. Greg Carr officiating.
Memorials have been established for the Alzheimer's Foundation and Pleasant Manor Care Center.
