Wanda Miller

Wanda Marie Miller, 66, of Wapello, died of cancer Wednesday, Sept. 8, 2004, at Prairie Ridge Nursing Home in Mediapolis.

Born Feb. 5, 1938, in Cairo, she was the daughter of Bryant Woodrow and Bessie Chloe Bartholomew Roberts. On Oct. 8, 1961, she married Monte Miller in Biggsville, Ill.

Mrs. Miller was a homemaker.

She lived in rural Wapello since 1972. She was a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Women's Auxiliary in Winfield.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, Michael Joe Miller of Davenport and Monte Lee Miller of Wapello; four grandchildren; and one brother, Irvin Roberts of Oklahoma.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.

Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home.

The funeral for Mrs. Miller will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home, with Anita Forsberg, Marybelle Armstrong and Richard Davis officiating. Burial will be in Winfield Cemetery.

A memorial has been established for the American Cancer Society.
