Marjorie Linder

Marjorie Louise Linder, 77, of 206 W. Polk St., New London, died Thursday, May 2, 1996, at University of Iowa Hospitals, Iowa City.

Born Jan. 9, 1919 at Mount Pleasant, she was the daughter of Arthur C. and Jessie F. Burge Woline. On May 29, 1938, she married Donald LeRoy Linder at Mount Pleasant. He died Oct. 10, 1976.

Mrs. Linder was a statistician for 26 at the Mental Health Institute in Mount Pleasant. She attended New London United Methodist Church.

Survivors include one son, Wendell Linder of West Burlington; a daughter Donna Yoder of Wayland; five grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; and a brother, Russell Woline of New London.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, a son and a grandson.

Visitation will be after noon Saturday at Elliott Chapel, New London, where the family will receive friends from 630 to 830 p.m.

The funeral for Mrs. Linder will be at 130 p.m. Sunday at Elliott Chapel with the Rev. Shirley Hoffman officiating. Burial will be in Burge Cemetery, New London.

A memorial has been established for the H. Nugen Library and the New London Rescue Unit.
