Mrs. Elizabeth Brown Funeral is Held
New London-Mrs. Elizabeth Burge Brown, 90, passed away at her home here Friday, April 20th, after an illness of four months from the result of a fall and a broken hip.
Her husband, Albert Brown, preceded her in death several years ago. Of her seven children, only two, Mrs. Mariah Martin of Burlington and Mrs. Maggie Calhoun of Mt. Pleasant, survive. Eighteen grandchildren, thirty great grandchildren, one brother, Allen Pryor, and a sister, Mrs. Lutisha Booton, both of Olena, Ill., also survive.
Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon in New London from the Holiness church. (Mt. Pleasant News, April 29, 1925)
