Michael Calloway
Michael Calloway, 47, of 14 George St., Iowa City, died Monday,morning, June 18, at University Hospitals following a heart attack June 9.He was born May 26, 1937, in Mt. Pleasant, to Roscoe and Ethel Virginia Calloway. He married Ruth Ann James on May 12, 1962, Iowa City. He received a BA degree from Iowa Weslyan in 1959 and an MA Degree in guidance counceling in 1968. He spent 19 years as guidance councelor, teacher and coach in Ft. Madison.
Surviving: his wife; three daughters, Debbie, Robin, and Betts, all at home; two sons, Jimmy and Bobby, also at home; his parents, Mt. Pleasant; a brother, Bill, Cedar Rapids; and a sister, Mrs. Roger(Ann) Smith, Burlington.Memorial services: 2 p.m. Wednesday, First United Methodist church, Iowa City. Memorial donation may be made to the University of Iowa Diabetes Research, University of Iowa Hospitals or the Calloway children's education fund in care of the First Methodist Church, 714 Jefferson, Iowa City, 52240.
