Marie Williams

Marie Williams, 83, of Mount Union, died Sunday, July 27, 1997, at Burlington Medical Center.

Born Jan. 20, 1914, at Mount Union, she was the daughter of Homer and Myrtle Lee Davey. On Dec. 22, 1934, she married Ward Williams at Morning Sun. He died Oct. 20, 1948.

Mrs. Williams was a graduate of Mount Union High School and Burlington Beauty Academy.

She was a member of Mount Union Methodist Church and UMW and a former member of both Mount Union OES and TTT chapter.

Survivors include one daughter, Robyn Buffington of Mount Union; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and one sister.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. today at Honts Funeral Home in Winfield. There will be no family visitation.

The funeral for Mrs. Williams will be 2 p.m. Tuesday in Mount Union United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Bob Hary officiating. Burial will be in Trinity Cemetery.

A memorial has been established for Mount Union United Methodist Church.
