Edna Knox
Edna Marie Knox, 85, 100 Care Circle, New London, formerly of Mount Union, died Friday, May 9, 1997, at New London Care Center.
Born Oct. 11, 1911, in Yarmouth, she was the daughter of Fred W. and Ora Kolkman Knox.
Ms. Knox spent her life in the Mount Union, Yarmouth and New London areas. She attended Mount Union School. She was a member of Mount Union United Methodist Church.
Survivors include one sister, Norma Hunger of Mount Union; three nieces, Sharon Helmerson of Mount Pleasant and Norma Helphrey and Annette Hunger, both of Mount Union; and two nephews, Robert Wollam of West Burlington and Ned Hunger of Mount Union.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister.
Visitation will begin after 9 a.m. Monday at Elliott Chapel in New London, where the family will receive friends from 1230 to 130 p.m.
A graveside service for Ms. Knox will be 2 p.m. Monday in Trinity Cemetery in Mount Union, with the Rev. Robert Hary officiating.
A memorial has been established for New London Care Center.
