Cecil Venghaus

Cecil F. Venghaus, 92, of New London, died Tuesday, March 26, 1996, at Henry County Health Center in Mount Pleasant.

Born Sept. 20, 1903, north of Morning Sun, he was the son of J.A. and Ora Walker Venghaus. He married Ada May Hale on Feb. 15, 1927, in New London.

Mr. Venghaus was a graduate of Mount Union High School. He was a farmer in the Mount Union area until his retirement.

He was a member of Faith Christian Outreach Center in Mount Pleasant.

Survivors include his wife; one son, Gene Venghaus of Mount Union; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Hazel Corey of Washington.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one son.

Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. Thursday at Elliott Chapel in New London. There will be no family visitation.

The funeral for Mr. Venghaus will be 2 p.m. Friday in Elliott Chapel, with Monte Knudsen officiating. Burial will be in Trinity Cemetery, Mount Union.

A memorial has been established for Faith Christian Outreach Center.
