Elsie Moul

Elsie Amelia Moul, 94, of Mount Pleasant, died Monday, Oct. 6, 1997, at Pleasant Manor Care Center, Mount Pleasant.

Born Aug. 15, 1903, in Yarmouth, she was the daughter of George and Amelia Glitsch Fye. On Jan. 24, 1934, she married Lester "Mike" Moul in Mount Union. He died Nov. 2, 1993.

Mrs. Moul was a graduate of Mount Union High School. She was a homemaker and worked with her husband on their farm.

She attended Trenton United Methodist Church and was a member of Methodist Women. She and her husband were two of the first Old Thresher volunteers, having served in that capacity for many years.

Survivors include one sister, Frances Caldwell of Mount Pleasant; many nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, five sisters and four brothers.

Friends may call from noon until 8 p.m. today at Elliott Chapel, New London. There will be no family visitation.

The graveside funeral for Mrs. Moul will be at 1030 a.m. Thursday in Trinity Cemetery, Mount Union, with the Rev. Lloyd Latta officiating.

Memorials have been established to Pleasant Manor Care Center and Trenton United Methodist Church.
