Della Sharpe

Della May Sharpe, 92, of Burlington, died at 1:25 a.m. Wednesday, June 24, 1998, at Burlington Care Center.

Born May 13, 1906, in Yarmouth, she was the daughter of Clyde and Myrtle Bowman Featherby. On April 29, 1947, she married Ralph Sharpe in Canton, Mo. He died March 30, 1955.

Mrs. Sharpe was a graduate of Yarmouth High School and was a homemaker.

She was a member of Moose Lodge and Fraternal Order of Eagles, both of Burlington, Gymnastics Association and Burlington Senior Citizens. She was of the Methodist faith.

Survivors include one sister, Orva Horn of Mount Pleasant; two nieces, Helen Bauman of West Burlington and Mona Quiroga of Henderson, Nev.; and one nephew, Earl Horn of New London.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents.

There will be no visitation or service.

Private burial of Mrs. Sharpe will be in Trinity Cemetery, Mount Union.
