Chester MARSHALL Died At Winfield

Chester Howard MARSHALL, 66, died at his home in Winfield Tuesday evening, November 17, 1959.

A native of Iowa, MARSHALL was born at Lewis on December 16, 1892 the son of Charles and Emma JENNINGS-MARSHALL. On January 27, 1926, he was married to Ossie METZGER-JENNINGS at Rockford, Illinois. They had lived in the Winfield community since their marriage and had lived in Winfield for the past several years, although MARSHALL continued to operate his farm.

Mr. MARSHALL was a member of the Methodist church, the IOOF and the Rebekah lodge.

Surviving are the wife; a stepson, Lee J. JENNINGS, Silvis, Illinois; a step-daughter, Mrs. Carol SULLIVAN, Moline, Illinois; a sister, Mrs. Ed LANE, Des Moines; a grandchild and two great-grandchildren.

Three brothers and a sister died previously.

Last rites will be conducted at the Methodist church at 2 p.m. Friday. The Rev. David F. Barker will officiate and burial will be in Winfield Scott Township cemetery.

The body is at the Barton-McKasson funeral home.
