Sharon Cluney

Sharon Arlene Cluney, 54, of Danville, died Wednesday, Sept. 3, 2003, at her home.

Born July 31, 1949, in Keokuk, she was the daughter of Claude and Beatrice Teter Palmer. On Nov. 14, 1969, she married Richard F. Cluney Jr. in Danville.

Mrs. Cluney was a med-surg unit clerk at Henry County Health Center in Mount Pleasant and a homemaker.

She attended elementary schools in Granger, Mo., and was a graduate of Memphis High School in Memphis, Mo. She attended First Baptist Church in Danville.

Survivors include her husband; one daughter, Trisha Cluney at home; one son, Erick Cluney of West Des Moines; her mother, Beatrice Watson of Arbela, Mo.; two sisters, Teresa Wurtzel of New London and Cheryl Palmer of Brighton; nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father and grandparents.

Visitation will be from noon to 4:30 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. today at Elliott Chapel in New London. There will be private family time from 5 to 6 p.m.

The graveside service for Mrs. Cluney will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Long Creek Cemetery in Danville, with Pastor Harry Hollingsworth officiating.

A memorial has been established for Crossroads Hospice of Southeast Iowa.
