Lona Frank
Lona Frank, 81, of New London, died Wednesday, March 16, 2005, at her daughter's home in Ironton, Mo.
Born April 17, 1923, in Dallas City, Ill., she was the daughter of Frank and Marie Moffett. In 1940, she married William Russell Enright in Nauvoo, Ill. On July 13, 1965, she married Reuben Frank in Mount Pleasant. He died Dec. 28, 1999.
Mrs. Frank was a bartender for many years at the Bluebird Tavern in New London and later at the Westside in Mount Pleasant.
Survivors include one daughter, Karin Enright of Ironton; four grandchildren, including Ernie Enright of Fairfield whom she raised; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and one son.
Visitation will be from noon to 6 p.m. Sunday at Elliott Chapel in New London. There will be no family visitation.
The funeral for Mrs. Frank will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Elliott Chapel, with the Rev. Jeffrey McPheron officiating. Burial will be in Burge Cemetery in New London.
A memorial has been established.
