Faynella Templeton

Faynella M. Templeton, 104, of New London, formerly of Mount Pleasant died Tuesday, Aug. 1, 2006, at New London Nursing and Rehab Center.
Born Feb. 8, 1902, in Henry County, she was the daughter of Harry and Minnie Hanks Foggy. On March 19, 1949, she married Rex Templeton in Loveland, Colo. He later died.
Mrs. Templeton owned and operated a hotel and apartment house with her husband.
She was a member of Mount Pleasant Congregation Church. She was a member of the Mount Pleasant American Legion Auxiliary. She was raised on a farm in Henry County. She enjoyed pinochle and canasta.
Survivors include one daughter, Betty Kilbourn of New London; one grandson and four great-grandchildren.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.
There will be no visitation.
The graveside service for Mrs. Templeton will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Burge Cemetery in New London, with the Rev. Milo Van Zeldhuizen officiating.
A memorial has been established for Burge Cemetery.
Elliott Chapel in New London is in charge of arrangements.
