William McNamee Dies Unexpectedly

New London—William McNamee, 55, passed away suddenly Wednesday afternoon at 4:30 after suffering a heart attack at the home of his sister-in-law, Mrs. Mary Helphrey, three miles southwest of Yarmouth.

William Jay McNamee, son of William J. and Mary (Lemon) McNamee, was born at Yarmouth, May 15, 1890. On March 20, 1912, at Mt. Union, he married Carrie Estella Kreiger. After their marriage, the couple lived in Mt. Pleasant and Danville and for the past three years have resided in Yarmouth. He was a former member of the Yarmouth Baptist Church.

Besides his wife, the following children survive: Dale Irvin McNamee of Mediapolis, Mrs. Lela May Keever and Mrs. Norma Geraldine Keever of Gladstone, Illinois, Mrs. Letha Fay Carter of Mt. Union. There are ten grandchildren and the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. Anna Maas, Mrs. Gladys Dove, and Carl McNamee of Burlington, Mrs. Moe Bielson of Gladstone, Illinois, Fred McNamee of Sperry, and Mrs. Cora Conn of Winfield. Three sisters and two brothers preceded him in death.

The body will remain at the Elliott Chapel in New London until time for the services which will be held Saturday afternoon at 2:00 from the Trinity Church. The Fev. C.E. Curtis, pastor of the church, will officiate. Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Beck will sing two selections and burial will be in the Trinity Cemetery. Harley Talbert, Earl Moore and Earl Collar of Danville, George Croppes and Everett Horn of Yarmouth, and Tom Connop of Mt. Union will serve as pallbearers.
