William Sylvester Millspaugh,75 route 3 , Mt. Pleasant died at Veteran's Hospital in Iowa City, Thursday August 31 1972 about 2:30 a.m.

He was born at Rome , Iowa March 23 1897, the son of William and Mary Rivey Millspaugh.

On Aug 28 1928, he was married to Florence White at Princeton,Illinois.
He was a member of the American Legion and VFW both of Mt. Pleasant
Mr Millspaugh was a World War I veteran and a farmer in the Rome community all his life.
He is survied by his wife, one son Michael Millspaugh of Mt. Pleasant, three daughters, Mrs Lewis ( Mary Jean)Nelson,West Burlington,Mrs. Dale ( Patricia Lea)Willis,Abilene Texas, and Mrs. Carroll( Ruth Ann) Kitchen,LaHarpe Illinois.
Three brothers Charles Millspaugh of Burlington,Peter Millspaugh of Mt. Pleasant and
Roy Millspaugh of Mt. Pleasant.One sister Mrs
Fred( Ethel )Schaefer of Lockridge.Three great- grandchildren,and many nieces and nephews.

His parents, an infant son and two sisters
preceeded him in death.

Funeral services will be held from the First Baptist Church, Mt.Pleasant at 3p.m. Saturday September 2 with the Rev. Robert Mc Elderry officiating.Interment will be in Grant Cemetery.

Friends may call as they desire at the Beatty- Jennings Funeral Chapel in Mt. Pleasant after 7p.m. Thursday
