Olive Miller Funeral Held

The memorial service for Miss Olive Miller was held at the Crane Funeral Home Tuesday afternoon at 2:00. Dr. George G. Hunt of the First Methodist Church was the officiating minister. Mrs. Will McClaran sang and Mrs. Dan Winter played the organ. Pallbearers were Harry Prottsman, Harold Prottsman, Dale Prottsman, and Herman Wilke. Burial was in Forest Home Cemetery.

Olive Miller, daughter of Joseph and Lucretia Cranner Miller, was born in Jefferson Township, November 1, 1872, and passed from this life in Mt. Pleasant January 16, 1949 after a few years of weakening illnesses.

In young womanhood, she taught school for a few years before going to work in the bank in Yarmouth. After a quarter of a century of service in the bank, she lived in Burlington for several years before coming to Mt. Pleasant in 1940 where she made her home with her sister, Lucretia Prottsman until illness required the services of the Whaley Nursing Home.

Miss Miller is survived by a brother, Roy Miller, of Chicago, and severe nieces and nephews.
