W.E. PHILLIPS OF WINFIELD DIES

William Everett Phillips of Winfield passed away at 5:00 Monday evening in Mt. Pleasant. He had been in failing health for two years. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Phillips, now living in Toulon, Ill.

He was born on October 26, 1885, at Azen, Mo. He is survived by his wife, Alice, and three children, all at home. He is also survived by his wife and two brothers, Louie Phillips of Medill, Mo. and Charles Phillips of Farmington, and two sisters, Mrs. Marie Kellar of Peoria, Ill. and Ella Phillips of Chicago.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 Thursday afternoon at the Open Bible Church in Winfield, with the Rev. Max Fisk, pastor of the church, conducting the services. Burial will be in the Winfield-Scott Township cemetery.
