Anna Rukgaber Funeral Is Held

Anna Maria Rukgaber was born in Salem, Iowa, September 11, 1858. From there she moved with her parents to a farm south of Mt. Pleasant. In 1891 she helped establish the Rukgaber homestead where she resided until her death, Dec. 31, 1945. She was one of the six children of Maria and John Rukgaber. She is survived by her brother, John and sister, Johanna Rukgaber, both of Mt. Pleasant. Two brothers, Albert and Joseph, and one sister, Rosa, preceded her in death.

Funeral services were held at the Crane Funeral Home, Jan. 2, at 2 p.m. conducted by Rev. Laura Galer and interment was in the family lot at Forest Home. The pallbearers were J.W. Peterson, Axel Bergdahl, Lisle Bird, Paul Smith, Joe Virden, and Orville Wells.
