Josephine Rich, 92, of Winfield, formerly of the Olds and Crawfordsville area, died Sunday, Nov. 30, 2003, at Sunrise Terrace in Winfield.

Born Dec. 9, 1911, in Pleasanton, Kan., she was the daughter of Ray and Mary Gill Euwer Stewart. On May 22, 1937, she married to Raymond W. Rich in St. Louis.

Mrs. Rich taught school in the Washington and Wyman areas before her marriage. She farmed with her husband in the Crawfordsville and Wyman area.

She graduated from Washington High School. She was a member of Olds United Church of Christ.

Survivors include one son, Keith Rich of Bloomington, Ill.; one daughter, Roberta Brown of Lexington, Ky.; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and three sisters.

Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. today at Beatty Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m.

The funeral for Mrs. Rich will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Olds United Church of Christ, with Pastors Carl and Elaine Vass officiating. Burial will be in Eicher Cemetery near Wayland.

Memorials have been established for the Eden Project at Sunrise Terrace in Winfield and Olds United Church of Christ.
