Helen Henson, 82, formally of Washington, died Sunday, Feb. 18, 2001, at Parkview Home in Wayland.

Born Aug. 17, 1918, she was the daughter of Rollie and Nellie Norton Hyde. She married Dan Crandel, Walter Jaspering and later Ernie Henson June 10, 1973, in Mount Pleasant. All three husbands preceded her in death.

She graduated from Wayland High School and was a member of the Greenmound Church of God and the VFW Auxiliary.

She worked at the American Pearl button factory and retired from the McCleery Cummings calendar factory in 1980. She moved to the Parkview Home in Wayland in 1990. She enjoyed traveling.

Survivors include one brother, Leroy Hyde of Auburn, Calif.; and one sister, Genevieve Messer of Mount Pleasant.

Besides her husbands, she was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. today at the Beatty Funeral Home in Washington. There will be no family visitation.

The funeral for Mrs. Henson will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Beatty Funeral Home, with the Rev. Ray Draper officiating. Burial will be in Elm Grove Cemetery in Washington.

A memorial has been established for the Greenmound Church.
