Rosemary B. Wagg, 71, of Wapello, died Friday evening, Sept. 24, 2004, at Unity Hospital in Muscatine.
Born June 13, 1933, in Winfield, she was the daughter of Cloyce and Beulah Newman Messenger. On March 24, 1949, she married Howard F. Wagg in Benettsville, S.C. He died Feb. 13, 1998.
Mrs. Wagg was a bookkeeper at Wapello Jack & Jill for 26 years.
She was a graduate of Wapello High School. She was a member of United Methodist Church, Veteran's of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary and Women's Ducks Unlimited, all of Wapello. She was a Cubs and Hawkeyes fan, and she enjoyed boating.
Survivors include two sons, Douglas Wagg of Letts and Thomas Wagg of Cedar Rapids; two daughters, Karren Stone of Wapello and Connie Stineman of Grandview; 11 grandchildren; and four great–grandchildren.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, one grandson, two brothers and one sister.
Visitation will be noon to 8 p.m. Monday at Dudgeon–McCulley Funeral Home, with family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m. The funeral ceremony for Mrs. Wagg will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Dudgeon–McCulley Funeral Home in Wapello, with the Rev. Harlan W. Winter officiating. Burial will follow in Wapello Cemetery.
A memorial has been established for United Methodist Church, Wapello Rescue Unit and Wapello Volunteer Fire Department.
