Lillian L. Anderson, 91, of Winfield, died Saturday Jan. 14, 2006, at Sunrise Terrace Care Center in Winfield.
Born April 6, 1914, near Cairo, she was the daughter of Thurman and Ethyl Ogier Berkshire. On Oct. 25, 1933, she married Theodore "Ted" Anderson. He died on March 4, 2000.
Mrs. Anderson worked in the lunchroom at the Winfield School and worked at Metromail in Mount Pleasant.
She attended the Wapello High School. She was a 50–year member of the Winfield United Methodist Church and a member of Faith Circle. She also was a member of the Lincoln Hall Club and a 50–year member of OES in Winfield. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and needlework.
Survivors include four daughters, Shirley Prince of Columbus, Ind., Sharon Owens of Fort Dodge, Susan Fowler of Robins, and Sheila Rickey of Winfield; eight grandchildren and nine great–grandchildren.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and one sister.
Visitation will be from noon to 7 p.m. today at Honts Funeral Home in Winfield, with family meeting friends from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Tuesday prior to the funeral.
The funeral for Mrs. Anderson will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Honts Funeral Home in Winfield, with the Rev. Tom Connors officiating. Burial will follow at Winfield–Scott Township Cemetery.
Memorials have been established for the Sunrise Terrace Eden Fund and Winfield United Methodist Church.
