Killed in Aircraft Accident
Mr. and Mrs. Ernest G. Chrissinger have received information that their son, Lt. Donald E. Chrissinger was killed on Nov. 18 in King's Cliffe, Peterborough, Eng. A letter from his commanding officer indicated two other pilots were killed in similar accidents at the time. A letter from Maj. Gen. J.A.Ulio of the war department today stated in part.
"It is with regret that I write tou confirming the telegram of recent date which informed you of the death of your son, Lieut. Donald E. Chrissinger, 0805570, Air Corps. on 18 November 1944 in King's Cliffe, Peterborough, Eng."
"The official casuality report states that your son was killed in an aircraft accident.
"I realize that there is little which may be done at this time to lessen your sorrow but it is my hope that in time you may find sustaining comfort in the knowledge that he died while serving his country."
Mr. and Mrs. Chrissinger are deeply appreciative of the many expressions of sympathy which have been extended them.
