William Maguire rites Thursday

William M. Maguire, son of Joseph and Ruth Maguire, was born April 27th, 1898, at Emerson, and passed away February 11, 1980 at the Jennie Edmundson hospital in Council Bluffs at the age of 81 years.

He was married to Grace Fountain in 1919. To this union 1 son, Marion, was born. They resided on a farm east of Logan most of their married life.

As a young man he was baptized in the Christian Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Grace; a great granddaughter, Diana and all his brothers and sisters.

In January 1967 he was married to Susie Ellerbeck.

Survivors include his wife, Susie Maguire of Logan; a son, Marion Maguire of Logan; three grandchildren and six great grandchildren; four stepdaughters, Virginia Mickey of Creston, Doris Grossner of Logan and Mary Divelbess and Julia Rodenberg of Missouri Valley, 14 step grandchildren and 17 step great grandchildren.

He was a well known farmer in the community.

Funeral services were held at the Schumacher funeral home in Logan Thursday for William M. Maguire, 81, who passed away at Council Bluffs Monday, Feb. 11.

Clergyman was Robert H. Evans. Music was by Mrs. Peggy Kelly, accompanied by Mrs. Sondra Shadden. Bearers were Arthur Myer, Harold Mindrup, Kenneth Kersten, Harold Divelbess, Larry Carson and Darrell Dickinson. Interment was in Bethel cemetery.
