The 1880 census shows William Berry, age 53, b. NH, a blacksmith f/b NH; m/b NY
Huldah Berry, wife, age 53 b. NY; keeping house; f/b NY; m/b NY
Mary Jane Berry, dau age 16 b. WI; f/b NH; m/b NY
____
My question: Could this William Berry be the same man who was in Union, Floyd, Iowa in 1870?
Listed are:
William Berry age 43 Blacksmith; b. NH
Elizabeth Berry age 42 keeping house; b. PA
Henry Berry 14 b. Iowa
____
Elizabeth (Harmon) Berry died abt 1870; did William then marry a Huldah? There is some confusion about Mary Jane....would she be Huldah's daughter by a previous marriage perhaps adopted by William? Henry, who would be 24 has not been located for certain at this time in 1880. Anyone with any information on this family, please contact me. Thanks so much.
____
Did William or Huldah die in Hardin County?
