Ann Salmen, 93, of Iowa Falls, Iowa, passed away Monday, May 12, 2014, at Scenic Manor Care Facility, Iowa Falls. Ann Salmen requested her body be donated for scientific purposes. There will be no formal service of remembrance. The Linn's Funeral Homes Iowa Falls Chapel assisted the family in completing Ann's final wishes.

Ann Leonah Jones was born April 13, 1921, in North Carolina, the daughter of Clara [Rice] and Edward Jones. She attended the Edneyville, North Carolina community Schools. On April 23, 1945, Ann as united in marriage to Clarence Marvin Salmen at Wichita, Kansas. To this union three children were born: David, Judy, and Linda. Ann worked as a retail salesclerk for J. C. Penney, Iowa Falls for many years, retiring in 1980. She enjoyed playing golf, bridge, going to casino's, and time spent with family and friends.

Ann Salmen is survived by her children: David Salmen, Judy [Robert] Fults, Linda Bandow; six grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and two sisters: Georgia and Mary. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Marvin Salmen; a son-in-law: Ron Bandow; a grandson; six brothers; and four sisters.
