Waldemar Will Edward Below, 77, Hubbard, died Monday, Oct. 19, 1998. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at the St. John's Lutheran Church in Hubbard. Burial will be in the Hubbard Cemetery.

Waldemar Will Edward Below was born Sept. 18, 1921. He graduated from Hubbard High School in 1939. He enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps in April of 1942, and served during World War II, being discharged in 1946. He married Joy Simkins in Provo, Ut. They resided in Hubbard where he was co-owner of the B&H Market for 23 years. In 1960, he was appointed rural mail carrier and worked in that position for 28 years, until his retirement in 1988. He serves as a volunteer fireman, member of the Chamber of Commerce and was a founding member of the golf course.

Survivors are his wife, Joy, daughters and sons-in-law, Trudy and Dennis Winter, Tresa and Eugene Zoske; two sons and daughter-in-law, Terry and Carolyn Below and Tracy Below, all of Hubbard; ten grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, one sister, Lois Olson of Moline, IL.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Lydia Lehmeier Below.
