Agnes Bly Eide, 96, Story City, died Saturday, Oct. 17, 1998 at Bethany Manor in Story City. Funeral services were held today at Salem Lutheran Church in Radcliffe with burial in Radcliffe Cemetery. Boeke Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Agnes Bly was born March 17, 1902 on the family farm, the daughter of Pete and Lena Sampson Bly, rural Radcliffe. She received her education at Lincoln Township Country School and Ellsworth High School, where she played basketball.

On July 16, 1920 she married Archie Eide at Hampton. They lived 20 years on a farm north of Radcliffe. In 1940, they lived on a farm north of Radcliffe. In 1940, they purchased a farm southwest of Salem Church where they lived until they moved to Radcliffe, moving into Sunrise Apartments in 1980. She resided there until 1992, when she entered Bethany Manor in Story City.

Survivors are two daughters and a son-in-law, Florence Harms of Radcliffe, Dorothy and Bill Bond of Kingman, AZ; one son and daughter-in-law, Everett and Darlene Eide of Radcliffe; six grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, two sisters-in-law, Margaret Bly and Kay Heckner.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Clarence, infant great-grandson, Charles Alberts, five sisters, Annie Hanson, Nellie Norton, Selma Tessau, Laura Tuttle and Esther Tuttle; five brothers, Swen, Peter, Winfred, Ernest and Wilburn.
