Buckeye - Ernest Vierkandt, 87, of Buckeye, died Sunday, Feb. 15, at Scenic Manor Nursing Home, Iowa Falls, of natural causes; survivors include a son, Ron, of Alden; a daughter, Janice Smuch of Alden; services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Buckeye, burial in Buckeye Cemetery; friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Surls Funeral Home, Alden, with family present from 6 to 8 p.m.
