N. B. Newton, after having been in ill health for several months, quietly passed away at 7:o'clock Sunday morning leaving an aged wife to cherish, for a few months or years, the memories of happier days. The deceased was born in Homer, New York, January 1, 1820 and has consquently passed his seventy-eighth birthday by eight months and ten days. A peacefull, law-abiding neighbor whose modest asperations reached only a little distance and whose wants were few in comparison to those of many people, and easily supplied, has gone from our midst, the allotted span of "three-score and ten" being more than filled. On behalf of the widow, we are requested to thank neighbors and friends who assisted her in her hour of sorrow.
