ELDORA - Tressa L. Hutzell, 95, of Eldora, died Monday, Dec. 8, 2003, at her home. Funeral services were Friday, Dec. 12, at Grace United Methodist Church at Floyd. Burial was at Oakwood Cemetery in Floyd.
Tressa was born June 7, 1908, in Floyd to Edward and Nellie Mapes. She was raised in Floyd where she graduated from high school. On June 27, 1931, Tressa was united in marriage to Glenn Hutzell. The couple made their home in Eldora. She had been employed by the Lundy, Butler and Lundy Law Firm, Hardin County Clerk of Courts Office and retired from Sween Law Office at the age of 90. Tressa was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Floyd and enjoyed her pets and wildlife of all kinds.
Survivors include her two step-daughters, Darlene Doud of Tucson, Ariz., and Betty Hess and husband Gerald of Grundy Center; and by close friends, Rod and Michelle Ryan of Eldora and their daughters, Danille Butler and Lacey Ryan. She was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn; her parents; and sisters, Theodora and Esther.
