ELDORA - Ray J. Rosine, 59, of Eldora died Friday, Dec. 5, 2003, at Covenant Medical Center in Waterloo. Following cremation at Pursel-Davis Funeral Home and Crematory, memorial services will be Saturday, Dec. 13, at 10:30 a.m. at Dorothy's Senior Citizens Center in Eldora. Memorials may be directed in his name to the family.
Ray was born Dec. 19, 1943, in Hardin County to Richard and Cecelia (Ansleme) Rosine. He was raised and educated in Eldora where he attended and graduated from the Eldora High School in 1962. Following graduation, he attended the University of Northern Iowa. Ray entered the U.S. Air Force and traveled extensively throughout the United States and Europe during his 22-year career, retiring in 1987. He was employed as a carrier for the Waterloo Courier and did volunteer work for the Share program in Eldora.
Survivors include his father, Richard W. Rosine of Eldora; two sisters, Phyllis Kellogg of Des Moines and Linda Horton of Eldora; one brother, Richard Dean Rosine and wife Jenelle of Des Moines; four nephews, Chris Horton Jr., Willie Kellogg, Joe Kellogg and Mike Horton; one niece, Trisha Cole; and one great-nephew, Williamray Cole. He was preceded in death by his mother; one brother-in-law, Chris; and his maternal and paternal grandparents.
Biersborn Funeral Home in Union has been entrusted with arrangements.
