ELDORA - Lucy E. Steinfeldt, 93, of Eldora died Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2003, at Ellsworth Municipal Hospital in Iowa Falls. Funeral services were Friday, Dec. 5, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Eldora with Pastor David Splett officiating. Burial was at the Eldora City Cemetery.
Lucy was born May 7, 1910, in Eldora to Thomas and Minnie (Evans) Reece. She was raised in Eldora, graduating from Eldora High School. On Nov. 26, 1935, Lucy was united in marriage to Clarence Steinfeldt at Eldora. The couple made their home southeast of Eldora where they farmed. In 1962, they moved to Eldora. Lucy was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, the Ladies Aid and was a member of the Farm Bureau Women.
Survivors include her son, Larry Steinfeldt and wife Maggie of Eldora; grandchildren, Sharm Manwiller and Grant Steinfeldt and wife Kara, of Eldora; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence; her parents; one grandson, Ryan Steinfeldt; one sister, Anna Brock; and one brother, Grover Reece.
