CEDAR FALLS - Edna C. Jacobs, 96, of Cedar Falls, formerly of Waterloo, died Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2003, at the Cedar Falls Lutheran Home. Funeral services will be Saturday, Dec. 6, at 1:30 p.m. at the First Congregational Church in Cedar Falls with burial in the Garden of Memories. Friends may call at the church one hour before service time. Memorials may be given to the Cedar Falls Lutheran Home.
Edna was born Jan. 28, 1907, in Popejoy to William and Ida Marie (Meyer) Beurer. She graduated from the Iowa Falls High School. In 1926, she was united in marriage to Peter Finger. She was married to Jesse Jacobs in 1957. Edna was employed as bookkeeper at Superior Welding for 24 years, retiring in 1973.
Survivors include two sisters, Jeannine Dawson and husband Dick of Donna, Texas, and Marilyn Oliver and husband Robert of Machesney Park, Ill.; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two sisters, Anita Beurer and Leone Sievers; and two brothers, Louis and William Beurer.
