ELDORA - Lawrence A. Struck, 86, of Eldora died Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2003, at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames. Funeral services will be Saturday, Nov. 29, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Eldora with Pastor David Splett officiating. Burial will follow at Eastlawn Memory Garden Cemetery in Eldora.
Lawrence was born Mary 24, 1917, in rural Hardin County, on his grandparents' farm, to Frederick and Martha (Jeske) Martin. He was raised on a farm near Hubbard, in Pleasant Township. Lawrence received his education at Goose Creek School. On Jan. 18, 1942, he was united in marriage to Clara Uden in Prosser, Neb. Lawrence was a farmer and resided his entire life in Pleasant Township, Hardin County, and lived on a farm southwest of Eldora from January 1942 until his death. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Eldora
Survivors include his wife, Clara; one daughter, Thelma Kruts and husband Richard of Roca, Neb.; two sons, Roger Struck and wife Kathleen of Eldora and Victor Struck and wife Mary of Mt. Morris, Ill.; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one sister, Gertrude Taber of Steamboat Rock. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Clarence Struck and Martin Struck.
Creps-Abels Funeral Home of Eldora is in charge of arrangements.
