ELDORA - Inger Marie Noelck, 86, of Hampton died Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2003, at Franklin General Hospital in Hampton. Funeral services will be Saturday, Nov. 22, at 10 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Hampton with Rev. Jon Anderson officiating. Burial will be in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery, rural Hampton.
Inger was born Jan. 20, 1917, in Audubon County to Simon and Astrich (Arnvig) Faaborg. She graduated from Kimballton High School and Grand View College in Des Moines. On March 15, 1941, Inger was united in marriage to Emil Noelck in Audubon County. She was employed as a country school teacher, nurse's aid and a cook at Jennings Bakery, the Gold Key and the Franklin General Hospital. Inger helped her father with farm work while growing up. She enjoyed living at Beeds Lake and watching the wildlife there. Growing flowers, baking wedding cakes and making kransekage for family events were among her favorites. Inger was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church.
Survivors include her husband, Emil; two sons, Ivan and wife Karen Noelck of Hampton and Carl and wife Rhonda Noelck of Belmond; one daughter, Jane Overturf and husband Roy of Nashua; one sister, Edna Jacobsen and husband Dick of Gig Harbour, Wash.; one brother, Otto Faaborg and wife Shirley of Ames; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Sigrid Riddle; and two grandchildren, Tony and Karie.
Siestema-Vogel Funeral Home in Hampton is handling arrangements.
