IOWA FALLS - Dorothy Rasmussen, 72, of Iowa Falls, formerly of Radcliffe, died Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2003, at Heritage Care Center in Iowa Falls. Funeral services were Monday, Nov. 3, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Eldora with Father Jim Dubert officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Dorothy was born Dec. 20, 1930, in Hardin County to Theodore and Anna (Stremick) Chaney. She graduated from Steamboat Rock High School in 1949. On July 6, 1954, she was united in marriage to Robert Rasmussen at Eldora. Dorothy was employed at the Security State Bank in Hubbard until her retirement due to health problems. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Eldora and the American Legion Auxiliary in Radcliffe.
Survivors include her son, Steve Rasmussen of Omaha, Neb.; four grandchildren, Moriah Rasmussen and Torran Rasmussen of Roland; Tiana Rasmussen of Omaha; and Derek Claussen of Ackley; one sister, Rozanna Broseghini and husband Albert of South Carolina. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert; her daughter, Sue Ites; and a brother, Ted Chaney Jr.
