HAMPTON - Antonia Rocha, 80, of Hampton died Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2003, at the Hampton Health Care Center in Hampton. Funeral services will be Saturday, Nov. 1, at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Hampton with Fr. Jim Miller officiating. Burial will be in the Hampton Cemetery.

Antonia was born Nov. 26, 1922, in Medina, Texas to Mecindo and Defina (Ramos) Salinas. On Jan. 4, 1942, she was united in marriage to Gregorio Soto Rocha at La Pryor, Texas. Antonia was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Hampton. Sewing, cooking and watching Spanish soap operas were among her favorites.

Survivors include three sons, Arturo Rocha and wife Janie, Guadalupe Rocha and wife Graciela, and Gregorio Rocha Jr. and fiancee Pamela Meyer all of Hampton; two daughters, Rosa Rodriquez and husband David of Marshalltown and Defina Martinez and husband Francisco of Hampton; two brothers, Mecindo Salinas of Charles City and Ricardo Salinas of Hampton; one sister, Anita Briones of Pasco, Wash.; 14 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gregorio; her parents; one daughter, one grandchild; two sisters; and one brother.

Sietsema Vogel Funeral Home of Hampton is in charge of arrangements.
