HAMPTON - Nellie Gertrude Christensen, 84, of Hampton died Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2003, at Franklin General Hospital Nursing Facility in Hampton. Memorial services will be held at a later date with Rev. Jon Anderson officiating. There will be no visitation. Inurnment will be in the Hampton Cemetery also at a later date.

Nellie was born Jan. 6, 1919, to Harrison and Mildred (Malone) White in Penn Township, Stark County in Illinois. She graduated from Princeville High School in Princeville, Ill. On July 16, 1939, Nellie was united in marriage to Forest Danger. She was married to Elmer Christensen on July 27, 1981. On June 11, 1993, Nellie and George Berlin were married. She was employed by Farmer's Hybrid. Nellie was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Hampton and the Franklin General Hospital Auxiliary. She enjoyed playing cards.

Survivors include one step-daughter, Janet Siems of Hampton; one step-son, Milton Buck Berlin of Jacksonville, Fla.; one sister-in-law, Regina Danger of Buffalo Center; two nieces; one nephew; five step-grandchildren; and five step great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and three husbands.

Sietsema-Vogel Funeral Home of Hampton is in charge of arrangements.
